Our client is actively seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer (Solar) located in either Madison, WI, Englewood, CO, Plano, TX or Minneapolis, MN. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with our client.

Job Overview:

The role is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, quality assurance/quality control, and completion of civil engineering design on renewable projects for  Solar Site/Design.  This is for  land development Civil of future solar sites where they are going to build the solar farm.  They will be performing site design engineering (Storm water, Transportation, Hydrology, etc) Designing the road going out to the solar farm and each pad where the solar panel will site. 

Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead and perform all aspects of civil design and technical solutions for utility-scale wind, solar, battery storage, and/or substation projects.
  • Provide leadership, management, and mentorship for the design team.
  • Define project tasks, schedule, and resource requirements.
  • Conduct team meetings and coordinate with other professional disciplines to execute successful project delivery.
  • Prepare and provide support with project proposals.
  • Prepare budget on assigned projects and review invoicing under the direction of a Project Manager.
  • Identify additional scope and revenue opportunities that relate to the project and participate in business development activities.
  • Provide on-going communication with the client related to the project.
  • Establish goals for project deliverables and maintain QA/QC goals.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • 3-8 years of experience in discipline within the A&E industry.
  • Must be detail oriented and efficient in problem solving.
  • EIT certification required, PE preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with department personnel, office staff, and clients; must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Extensive experience in county and state permitting preferred.
  • Good mentoring skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Possess the ability to change focus quickly during a typical day.
  • Positive and solution orientated approach to problems.

Job Requisition # 36836

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per year.

The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
