Job Title: Civil Engineer (EIT)
Type: Direct Hire
Work Location: Hybrid in Albuquerque, NM

Candidates must reside in the greater Albuquerque, NM area.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university .
  • 2-4 years of civil engineering experience.
  • Desire to work on Municipal projects with an emphasis on water, wastewater, paving, drainage, etc.
  • Experience directly for a Municipality preferred (vs experience with Land / Site Development)
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Motivated to learn in a dynamic environment with short deadlines.
Big points if you have:
  • E.I.T. license.

Job Overview:
  • The Engineer II will be involved with designing water distribution systems and facilities, wastewater collection systems and facilities, roadway/drainage projects, city engineer services, plan and plat reviews, and other projects typical of a municipal engineering practice. The Engineer II must have experience working with plan and profile construction drawings associated with municipal infrastructure improvement projects.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Managers and Engineers with analysis, engineering design, plans and specifications, and construction administration for various projects.
  • Represent at client meetings and performing client coordination.
  • Apply technical expertise and be able to work with a project team on conventional and unconventional projects.
  • Produce construction plan sets for a municipality.
  • Perform independent research and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Work in a collaborative team environment and perform self QA/QC of work.
  • Adhere to safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity.
  • Motivation to work in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines.
  • Desire to collaborate with professionals and clients to increase your industry knowledge and grow in your career.
  • Commitment to perform responsibilities consistent with industry standards to achieve department and company goals.
  • Interest in developing relationships with clients, partners, and local organizations to remain a trusted resource in the community.

A reasonable estimate of the Base Salary for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 per year. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
