Job Title: Electrical/Mechanical Technician (Industrial)
Type: Direct Hire
Work Location: Morrisville, NC. Position will require 25% - 50% travel.

Candidate must reside in the Morrisville, NC area.

Required Skills & Experience:
 
  • Associates degree in Industrial Electronic Systems or demonstrated equivalent.
  • Five to ten years of experience performing electrical maintenance in an industrial environment, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time for Installations and routine maintenance/troubleshooting
  • Ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
  • Complete project or knowledge showcase presentation to Team members

Big Bonus Points if you Have:
  • Associates degree in industrial technology or certificate from an industrial electrical course; military experience accepted; Equal opportunity employer
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting and repairing National Instruments hardware (NI MAX, etc.)
  • Experience installing rigid conduit
  • Working knowledge of NEC, sizing wire and color codes
  • Experience troubleshooting
  • NFPA-70E training preferred
  • Electrical panel assembly
  • Soldering IPC standard knowledge
  • Problem solver, creative thinker, efficient work habits and consistency in the workplace, ability to effectively contribute to any/all situations that may arise in workplace environment
  • OSHA fall protection training
  • Aerial lift training (OSHA approved course)

Essential Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs electrical equipment and control circuits from 24v up to and including 480V AC, electro-mechanical test devices, instrumentation devices, NI platform devices
  • Point to point wire fabrication per schematic drawings
  • Mechanical assembly of Industrial Automation Systems
  • Calibrates instrumentation equipment and controls for optimum performance. 
  • Ability to work independently and in group settings
  • Assures work conforms to NEC & Company guidelines.
  • Utilizes the building automation system to track building conditions and the operation of facilities equipment.
  • Utilizes strong electrical and mechanical skills to complete assignments.
  • Responds and provides service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations and industry standards.
  • Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations.
  • Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.
  • Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.
  • Operates a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
  • Maintains a strict schedule to be successful in the assignment, yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Job Requisition # 38979

A reasonable estimate of the Base Salary for this role is $45,000 - $75,000 per year. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
