Job Overview:
The position is responsible for managing tax compliance, audit, research, strategy, and planning for domestic and/or international operations, as well as income tax provision and internal and external reporting. Assist with M&A due diligence and related work.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the internal preparation of domestic and international tax filings for corporations and partnerships.
- Responsible for tax audits, queries, reporting, and deliverables.
- Manage transfer pricing policies and related documentation.
- Support mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transaction activities, overseeing tax due diligence, developing tax strategy and structural planning options, and coordinating tax process integration.
- Provide strategic tax advice in relation to new ventures, projects, and contracts.
- Monitor new lines of business, acquisitions, and products as it relates to tax implications in multiple taxing jurisdictions.
- Act in advisory capacity for all internal requests related to corporate taxes including, indirect, VAT, income, payroll, property, and business licenses.
- Monitor legislative activity to ensure company is compliant with current statutes and advise senior management of strategies that will minimize tax liabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement opportunities identified to maximize efficiency, improve quality of work, and minimize future tax exposures.
- Responsible for tax provision, purchase accounting, tax accounting methods and all related journal entries, related financial statement disclosures and responses to internal and external audit requests.
- Monitor SOX compliance with the tax team and manage responses to internal audit requests.
- Manage tax planning and tax accounting projects.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
- Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA Certification and/or Master’s in Taxation
- 15+ years of related income and indirect tax experience in public accounting or large multi-national public company tax department.
- 7+ years in tax leadership role developing high-performing talent and directing high-performing teams
- Experience in Microsoft Office and tax compliance software.
- Understand legal organization, divisional & accounting policies & procedures to determine application of tax law.
- Requires a comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including Accounting for Income Taxes (ASC740) and Business Combinations (ASC 805).
- Analyze highly complex tax issues, related facts & circumstances and recommend solutions.
- Research and interpret tax law and determine applicability to the Company.
- Ability to establish, refine and improve processes and procedures, a commitment to process and documentation excellence.
- Ability to apply advance mathematical concepts such as exponents and quadratic equations.
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, and correlation techniques.
- Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives.
- Frequently communicates complex information and interacts with management. Can present, resolve, and address delicate situations. Can motivate and persuade others.

- Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently.
- Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements). Minimum overnight travel (up to 10%).
- Experience with OneSource Income and Provision Tax software
- Experience with Tax Research Software (Bloomberg, CCH, Checkpoint)
- Experience with BNA Fixed Asset Software
- Experience with Oracle ERP Software

A reasonable estimate of the Base Salary for this role is $215,000 per year plus Commission (uncapped). The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
