Our client is actively seeking a talented Data Analyst located in Raleigh, NC. This is a 3-month contract opportunity with the possibility to go permanent with our client.

Job Overview:

The Data Analyst will work closely with IT development staff and business representatives to analyze requirements and develop ETL processes for transferring data across multiple platforms. They will be responsible for writing and optimizing SQL queries to support corporate reporting. Additionally, this position will play a vital role in the lifecycle of various applications, including creating data mappings, building data migration processes, and designing databases for transactional data models, data warehouses, and data marts.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Collaborate with business and development teams to analyze and resolve data and process issues.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries for enhanced performance.
  • Design and develop ETL processes to transfer data from various platforms to meet business requirements.
  • Work with Senior Staff to develop logical data models (LDM) and physical data models (PDM) supporting operational databases, Data Warehouses, and BI applications.
  • Develop and maintain reports across the entire business, ensuring data integrity.
  • Monitor day-to-day batch jobs, communicate and troubleshoot issues related to data integrity, database design, and software tools.
  • Draft and maintain job flows, data flows, and design documentation.

Requirements:
 
  • A four-year degree with courses in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a development or analysis role in an enterprise setting.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks independently without supervision. Demonstrated strong organization and time management skills.
  • Expertise in building and optimizing complex SQL queries for improved performance.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Develop, maintain, and administer complex ETL processes using SQL Server SSIS.
  • Proficiency in Visual Studio and SQL Server Reporting Services for report development.
  • Solid understanding of Relational Database Design and Data Warehousing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with data modeling tools such as Power Designer.
  • Work experience across all phases of the software development life cycle.
  • Proficient in eliciting and documenting business requirements, processes, and workflows.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Exposure to data integration solutions in the Property and Casualty Insurance line of business.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $35.00 - $50.00 per hour.

The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
