Our client is actively seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer located in Greensboro, NC. This is a 14-month contract opportunity.
This is an onsite opportunity.
Job Overview:
Supports the development, integration and application of interior trim components and resting comfort features. Interior trim components include injection molded plastic trim panels, storage cabinets, bunk systems, soft wall trim panels and headliners. Material technologies related to these components include injection molded plastics, thermal formed plastics, textiles, fabrics, leather, foils and laminates and an occasional metal technology. Responsibilities may also include the integration of electrical and electronic technologies into the interior systems.
Job Responsibilities:

- Life cycle responsibility (product ownership) for various complex Cab Living (Interior) components or systems - responsibilities include concept development, detailed engineering design, post-production maintenance, problem solving and all related engineering administration tasks
- TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP - you will be responsible for the cross functional coordination of interests with counterparts in other departments - stakeholders include Purchasing, Product Design, Aftermarket/Parts/Service and Manufacturing - you will lead this team of stakeholders to ensure that all stakeholders needs and requirements are balanced and satisfied as you deliver solutions to our primary customers
- Ensures components and systems meet all applicable regulatory demands
- Provides expert leadership to the broader Cab organization, locally and globally
- Understands complex injection molded interior component and/or soft trim system designcs. Designs and manages deliveries toward project targets for features, cost and timing
- Design technical solutions according to given prerequisites (e.g., function, style, volume, geometry, costs, quality target and regulations) in mechanical areas.
- Support and Lead mechanical design engineering activities in a particular area.
- Play an active role in the delivery.
- Â Integrate deliveries from others and secure quality and readiness before release.
- Ensure the design fulfills the business targets/ requirements.
- Provide input in product and system roadmaps.
- Network and build relationship with universities and external institutes for own technical area.
- Participate in the business development and innovation.
- Â Develop and Manage networking across the organization and provide inputs to the project pre-requisites based on the component history.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $38.70 - $48.00 per hour.
The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
