Our client is actively seeking a talented Shopify Developer. This is a 6-month contract opportunity.
This position is a remote opportunity.
Overview:
We are seeking a talented Shopify and Storefront Developer to join our team and help us create a best-in-class eCommerce experience for the veterinary industry. You will leverage your expertise in Shopify development and your understanding of the veterinary landscape to design, develop, and maintain a user-friendly and high-performing online store.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop custom Shopify themes tailored to the needs of veterinary businesses.
- Build and integrate functionalities specific to the veterinary industry, such as appointment booking, product filtering by pet type, and prescription management (experience with relevant APIs a plus).
- Optimize the storefront for mobile responsiveness and user experience.
- Implement best practices for SEO to ensure the store is easily discoverable online.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing store functionalities.
- Collaborate with designers, marketing teams, and stakeholders to ensure the online store aligns with overall business goals.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Shopify features and best practices.
- Proven experience developing and customizing Shopify themes.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid.
- Experience with Shopify APIs and integrations with third-party applications.
- A passion for the veterinary industry and a strong understanding of its needs (experience working with veterinary businesses a plus).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with headless commerce architectures.
- Knowledge of veterinary software integration.
- Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategies.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $75 - $80 per hour.
The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
