Our client is actively seeking a talented Information Systems Security Manager to work with a team located in Arlington, VA. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with our client.


Job Responsibilities:
 
  • In this position, the ISSM will manage and maintain systems that adhere to government regulations.
  • You will conduct recurring Cybersecurity reviews on information systems in accordance with DoD Manuals, JSIG, NIST Special Publications, customer directives, and company policies as applicable Executes the security testing and evaluation to ensure the correct implementation of security requirements.
  • You’ll serve as subject matter experts (SME) on a broad range of Cybersecurity topics. You may represent the Cybersecurity organization and business unit to external Cybersecurity counterparts. You are responsible for providing guidance and technical training to ISSOs across the organization.
  • Manages the assessment and mitigation of system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle.
  • Supports secure maintenance and continuous monitoring.
  • Provides technical support to users as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 5-7 years of experience, or a Masters with 3 – 5 years of experience.
  • This position requires an active DoD Security clearance, a requirement to obtain a security clearance is U.S. citizenship.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Conduct security briefings and trainings as needed.
  • Lead Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVA), Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRI) and Other Government Agency (OGA) inspections.
  • Have a strong understanding of computer operating systems (Windows and Linux), software and computer hardware.
  • Can configure laptop/desktops/servers, install applications, setup network infrastructure and troubleshoot as required.
  • Knowledge of current industry methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating information technology (IT) security assessment, monitoring, detection, and remediation tools and procedures utilizing standards-based concepts and capabilities. 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Possess a Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for a Top-Secret Security Clearance based on a Tier 5 investigation.
  • Possess a DoD 8570 IAM-III level professional certification (CISM, CISSP or other).
  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment including workstations, servers, printers, scanners, monitors, etc.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds.


Preferred qualifications:
 
  • Highest degree of personal and professional integrity and ethics.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Experience with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Department of Defense Directives 5200.01, volumes 1-4, and Intelligence Community Directive 705.
  • Proficient in IA Security specifications such as Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST SP 800-53.
  • Experience with security assessment/hardening tools, i.e., STIGs, SCAP, ACAS, etc.
  • Trained and proficient in Assured File Transfer (AFT) procedures.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $150,000 - $155,00 per year.

The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
