Job Title: Cloud Architect

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Cloud Strategy and Architecture:
A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $155.00 - $160.00 per hour. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Cloud Strategy and Architecture:
- Conduct assessments of existing infrastructure and applications to determine cloud readiness.
- Develop and implement cloud migration/modernization strategies that align with the client’s mission objectives.
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions using AWS and Azure services.
- Lead the assessment and planning of cloud migration projects, including the selection of appropriate cloud migration archetypes.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Provide technical guidance on cloud-native application development and modernization.
- Architect solutions utilizing cloud services such as AWS EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Azure VMs, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, Synapse, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions.
- Lead discussions on application modernization strategies, including containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), microservices architecture, and serverless computing.
- Implement best practices for refactoring, re-platforming, and rehosting applications in the cloud."
- Bachelors Degree
- 12+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, and operations
- 4+ years of experience in Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) preferred
- Proven experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including hands-on implementation of cloud services.
- Extensive experience in application modernization, cloud migration, and DevSecOps practices."
