Overview:
The AWS Engineer is a key technical role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. Leveraging their deep understanding of AWS's suite of services, the AWS Engineer ensures that the company's cloud-based resources are secure, efficient, and meet the organization's needs.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $95.00 - $100.00 per hour.
The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.

Leveraging their deep understanding of AWS's suite of services, the AWS Engineer ensures that the company's cloud-based resources are secure, efficient, and meet the organization's needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management: Set up, manage, and scale applications on AWS while ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
- Design and Development: Design and build infrastructure on AWS, utilizing its service-oriented architecture. Develop scripts for automating client/server functions and to streamline operational processes in AWS.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security and compliance protocols for AWS environments. Ensure the cloud infrastructure aligns with the company's security standards.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support in all AWS environments and resolve any issues related to deployed AWS applications.
- Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and manage costs to optimize the usage of AWS resources.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development and operations teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and support the deployment of microservices and serverless applications.
- In-depth understanding of AWS security best practices, including IAM policies, data security, and network security on AWS.
- Design and implement compliance controls using AWS Config to ensure continuous compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Perform security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions
- Create and maintain python scripts for custom Config rules and security tasks automation
- Write CloudFormation templates to automate infrastructure deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security and compliance requirements are met
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional and AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
