Our client is actively seeking a talented Application Analyst to work a hybrid schedule in Pasadena, TX. This is a fulltime permanent opportunity with our client.
Job Overview:
Utilize your critical skills to help support our technology environment as a Senior IT Applications Administrator with our client. You will manage and maintain software applications that support our business. You will work closely with the business, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure that our applications are deployed and configured correctly and that they are running smoothly.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications, both on-premises and in the cloud, while ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
- Proactively monitor application performance, identify, and resolve complex issues, and provide guidance to junior administrators in troubleshooting efforts.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to oversee the seamless deployment of new applications and updates, aligning with organizational standards and guidelines.
- Play a key role in assessing, selecting, and implementing new applications in coordination with vendors and project teams, while considering business requirements and objectives.
- Demonstrate expertise in understanding, documenting, and mapping intricate business processes to existing and potential applications, contributing to strategic decision-making.
- Develop and enforce robust security and access control standards, conducting regular audits of user access to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.
- Establish and maintain configurations of applications according to industry best practices and stringent security standards.
- Create and maintain interfaces and integrations between applications, optimizing data flow and ensuring seamless interoperability.
- Oversee the maintenance and administration of application-related database systems, implementing efficient data management practices when applicable.
- Produce comprehensive application documentation and user training materials, enabling efficient onboarding and knowledge transfer for end users.
- Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning, actively participating in relevant exercises and implementing necessary measures.
- Implement and maintain regular backup procedures, including rigorous testing of restore processes to guarantee the integrity and availability of data.
- Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards tailored to meet evolving business needs, leveraging advanced analytics tools and techniques.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of progressive experience in application administration or a related field
- Solid knowledge of diverse software applications and their configurations, including both on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot application performance issues, utilizing diagnostic and analytical techniques effectively.
- Experience with reporting writing.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python, enabling automation and customization of administrative tasks.
- Up to 25% travel to field office locations
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Stable work history with good references from past employers
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Speak fluent English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience
- 4+ years of progressive experience in application administration or a related field
- Extensive knowledge of diverse software applications and their configurations, encompassing both on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully troubleshoot complex application performance issues, utilizing advanced diagnostic and analytical techniques.
- Proficiency in utilizing PowerBI for data visualization, along with experience in database administration.
- Proven track record of working with HRIS systems such as ADP and Workday, as well as Time Keeping and other WFM applications.
- Strong familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python, enabling automation and customization of administrative tasks.
- Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000 per year.
The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
