Our client is actively seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer to work with a team located in Longview, TX. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with our client.

This position is an onsite opportunity and offers relocation assistance for candidates who are not local and an amazing benefit package that includes company paid Health, 100% matching 401k and 3 weeks of vacation + Bonus.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a civil design engineer with strong design experience, knowledge of engineering industry practices, and the ability to self-manage project tasks.
  • Your primary responsibilities include performing cooperative design tasks, preparing construction drawings and specifications, performing hydrologic/hydraulic design and analysis calculations for commercial sites, roadways and industrial projects. Preparing detailed grading plans, drainage, utility, paving, erosion control plans, etc. You'll also interact with clients, coordinate projects, and visit project sites.
  • You will work under the direction of a project manager who will provide overall project direction and oversight.
  • There is the potential to grow in responsibilities and leadership. 
  • The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School, holds an EIT or PE license in the State of Texas, and has between 2 to 6 years of civil design experience. AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency and excellent communication skills are crucial.

  • As part of our team, you'll perform design and analysis tasks with moderate supervision, prepare construction drawings, organize reports and calculations, coordinate and assist with project permitting, and meet project deliverables within a predefined timeframe.

  • Your role will require judgment and knowledge application in areas of responsibility. Coordinate with team members on specific assignments and liaise with clients and authorities on permitting requirements.

  • Apart from your engineering skills, you'll also get the opportunity to interact with clients and travel to project sites.

Job Responsibilities: Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School
  • Licensed EIT or PE in the State of Texas, or with the ability to register in multiple states is desired.
  • 2 to 6+ years of civil design experience
  • Proficient using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interface with internal team, project partners, clients, and government agencies.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Longview, TX if not local to the area - Relocation Assistance is provided!

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 per year.

The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
