ERP Techno-Functional Analyst

Job Description

If you are looking for a position where you will be part of the migration off current systems to state of the art technologies working with a company that promotes from within and getting exposure to their corporate technology organization, this job is for you.  You will be responsible for the maintenance, administration, and support of ERP systems and processes.  You will also be responsible for creating, modifying, and solving issues for business-related reports. 

This position is 100% onsite at our clients North Raleigh state of the art headquarters.

What you will do
  • Provide advanced functional support for multiple and diverse ERP applications and related systems
    • Deep knowledge of multiple ERP modules (A/R, A/P, G/L, Purchasing, Inventory, Manufacturing)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced ERP system issues
  • Administer and maintain applications life cycle change for new releases and upgrades
  • Willing to learn older ERP systems to bridge gap until newer ERP systems implemented
  • Key contributor to new ERP software implementations
  • Gather and evaluate business requirements for business process changes or reporting
  • Develop, test, implement, and modify reports
  • In-depth understanding of database management systems and ETL (Extract, transform, load) frameworks
  • Lead and timely deliver reporting projects
  • Build out Power BI solutions including metadata modeling, building data marts, designing reports, performance tuning and maintaining application security
  • Follow technical best practices, policies, and procedures
  • Follow IT standard protocol for change / release management
  • Document functional business requirements documents and well as technical requirements documentation as needed
  • Work with cross-functional departments to support business to plan, execute, implement, and enhance ERP systems
  • Help identify and recommend technological changes where a change in process would increase efficiency, system security and/or stability
  • Performs other job duties as required

Qualifications & Education Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum (5) years’ experience in technology
  • Minimum (5) years’ experience with ERP systems
  • Minimum (5) years’ experience with SQL by building advanced queries, stored procedures, views, etc.
  • Minimum (5) years’ experience creating and modifying reports with SSRS
  • Advanced/Expert in the use of Microsoft Excel
Preferred Skills
  • Strong knowledge of IT principles
  • Experience with ERP application and standard modules (OE, AR, GL, AP, Inventory, Manufacturing)
  • Experience with Ecommerce, deliveries, and WMS is a plus
  • Experience in providing support for application systems and configurations
  • Strong troubleshooter and proficient problem-solver that can work autonomously
  • Strong ability to prioritize
  • Great communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems, identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail, good judgement, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information in a non-technical fashion
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality and integrity
  • Act as liaison with our vendors and technology teams required to diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Deep sense of urgency and ability to identify and achieve quick wins
  • Ability to identify issues, recommend and resolve problems and manage issues to escalation effectively and timely
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with ease, set appropriate priorities, and manage timelines effectively while paying attention to detail
  • Strong service delivery skills
  • Experience creating and supporting Power BI reports
