Job Description

Job Title: IT Technician
Type of Engagement: 12-month contract to hire (Not open to 3rd party C2C consultants. Visa sponsorship is not available)
Work Location: Onsite position located in Newark, DE

Candidates must reside in the Greater Newark, DE area.

Required Skills & Experience:

Network Administration: must have switches, will be racking & stacking equip, networking IP
  • Familiar with wired and wireless network architecture, configure Cisco switches, troubleshoot Local Area Networks, and maintain network cabling.
  • Rack, commission, and maintain network devices.
  • Basic understanding of IP subnetting.
  • Maintains device map and subnets.
Firewall:
  • Familiar with firewall static routes and user administration.
  • Experience working in OMN/DMZ and Process Control Networks. *go hand in hand
End User Device Support:
  • Printers, Scanners, Label Printers.
  • Maintain workstations, cameras, printers, scanners, label printers, for manufacturing and lab systems


Big Bonus Points if you Have:

Server, OS, and File Share Administration:
  • VM ESXi server version 6.0 or higher, any experience.
  • vCenter experience, create, move, migrate VMs.
  • Operating System Windows Server 2016 – 2022.
  • Administering sharing and folder privileges.
  • Racking and Commissioning servers and controllers.
  • Backup and Storage.
  • Service monitoring and optimization.
  • End user access administration.

Job Overview:

Required to work with vendors, end users, support teams, and project teams, taking direction from the Site IT Leader to create IT solutions that may be complex.

The role involves evaluating new technologies, working with IT architects and service providers to create standards, solutions, and fixes in the infrastructure space. The technician must understand key components of IT networks, servers, PCs, and peripheral devices, and be able to integrate systems to create business solutions.

The role also includes providing end user support for the installation of applications and devices in a manufacturing environment, and supporting manufacturing system integration, including the design, build, and implementation of IT infrastructure in a 24x7x365 manufacturing environment.

This job may include knowledge of, or experience with, voice/data telecommunications, web services, database administration, server operating systems, personal computing, and mobility.


Essential Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Requires strong communications and commitment to respectful customer service.
  • Must be capable of diagnosing hardware/software problems.
  • Must interact effectively with all levels of the organization, contributing to an environment of openness, trust, and teamwork.
  • Support of manufacturing business systems with multiple production lines and buildings.
  • Support of security and business infrastructure for the facility.
  • Bridges the gap between in-house knowledge and remote support teams.
  • Requires knowledge of Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Process Control Networks, and login scripts.
  • Provides “off-hours” support as manufacturing critical issues arise.
  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize work based on urgency and business impact.
  • Must possess a minimum of a two-year degree in Computer Science and must be willing to continually develop skills to remain effective in a very dynamic technology field.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $33.00 - $38.00 per hour. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
