Our client is actively seeking a talented IT Vendor Manager to work remotely. This is a year long contract position. Â
Job Overview:
The IT Vendor Manager is responsible for oversight of assigned IT vendors. The ideal team member will provide guidance to internal and vendor leadership teams that is necessary to help vendors deliver the most business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acts as the primary interface to the vendor and maintains long term vendor relationship
- Maintains expert knowledge of all aspects of vendor agreements
- Responsible for overall vendor governance and performance
- Responsible for vendor issue and dispute resolution related to performance and compliance
- Oversees all vendor financials including invoice approvals and agreement incentives/penalties
- Participates in vendor identification, selection, implementation, monitoring, change and termination processes
- Conducts vendor operational reviews as required
- Participates in vendor audits as required
- Actively manages vendor continuous improvement
- Maintains expert knowledge of applicable vendor marketplace; monitors industry trends in vendor capability, cost and performance
- Responsible for accurate vendor operational and performance data
- Monitors vendor business health and service capabilities
- Identifies and mitigates vendor risks
- Collaborates with internal teams such as IT Leaders, Finance, Legal and Operations as required
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years managing vendor agreements in excess of $5mm per year
- Strong knowledge of IT Service Management tools such as JIRA and ServiceNow
- Knowledge of Vendor Management System tools
- Strong ability to communicate with multiple tools users at all levels of the organization
- Strong knowledge of agreements economics and cost drivers
- ITIL v3 Foundation certification strongly preferred, ITIL Intermediate or Expert certifications would be a plus
- Excellent organization and analytical skills
- Global teaming and remote collaboration
- Proven ability to work in collaboration with external service providers, building and developing effective service provider relationships
- Excellent influencing, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to act quickly and decisively
