Job Overview:

Our client is looking to hire a Manager of Business Systems with a proven track record of managing and scaling a diverse IT infrastructure suite. The Manager of Business Systems will be responsible for working cross-functionally as the Company embarks on the next phase of its IT and systems roadmap, including an (in process) ERP and EDI implementation. This individual should have deep experience in manufacturing and distribution businesses, working with Microsoft Business Central and EDI infrastructure (such as TrueCommerce).

This role will directly contribute to the operations team: including reviewing and owning system health, organizing upgrades, determining impact assessment with certain integrations, running specific team meetings, managing the case and Change Control Board (CCB) queues, and helping to determine roadmap prioritizations. The role may also involve solution engineering and recommending process improvements or working within other business systems.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead the ownership of Dynamics Business Central
  • Establish governance for daily operations, change management, and projects
  • Monitor system health and help desk queues to ensure timely response, consistent throughput, and improved user experience by incorporating business feedback.
  • Manage and maintain EDI infrastructure by overseeing daily operations, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with vendors to resolve issues and implement enhancements.
  • Enhance existing functionality and improve processes within Microsoft Business Central (ERP), TrueCommerce (EDI) as well as various 3rd party software integrations (transportation management systems, warehouse management systems, e-commerce/B2B portals, etc)
  • Support seamless cross-functional EDI integration with ERP and other systems, including online marketplaces, coordinating with teams to optimize data exchange processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Partner with vendors, including the Business Central MSP, to help move CCB requests forward.
  • Lead and assist in monitoring releases and bug or hotfixes
  • Assist in discussions around team structure and staffing needs. Collaborate with the Chief Operations Officer on scaling the team for effective function
  • Assist in impact analysis for any new integrations to the system landscape for a continuously viable software stack
  • Test and deploy business applications modules and enhancements to build configurable extensions to meet business needs
  • Manage or assist in system roadmap planning for all future platform decisions
  • Identify opportunities for business process improvements
  • Manage requests for new features or functionality, and assist with the prioritization of these requests
  • Effectively partner with Managed Services Providers for resolution of production issues
  • Develop, test, and deploy customizations, custom records, third-party tools/applications and new Business Application functionality based on evolving business needs.
  • Support the change management and release process of systems
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (i.e., executive team, management, and sales) to gather and document operational and functional requirements and translate them into operational solutions.
  • Management of user acceptance testing, where appliable
  • Occasional assistance with administering all user management requests across Dynamics Business Central for daily operations. This includes user creation, security updates, and user decommissioning.
Required Skills & Experience:
 
  • Ability to work onsite in Vineland, New Jersey 3-4 days a week
  • 4+ years of experience within Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
  • 4+ years of experience with EDI solutions (TrueCommerce, SPS, Cleo, etc)
  • 4+ years of experience within a distribution, manufacturing, or inventory operation
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field
  • Clear understanding and working knowledge of Accounting Principles and Software process
  • Ability to understand priorities and delegate
  • Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, decision-making, research, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of best practices in roles, permissions, custom objects, workflows, reports, and dashboards.
  • Excellent business systems support and team contributor
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing needs/environments
  • Excellent PC skills with strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

Big Bonus Points if you Have:
 
  • Project management, system implementation, and system integration experience

Job Requisition # 39022

A reasonable estimate of the Base Salary for this role is $140,000 - $145,000 per year. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels. #LI-LB1
