Job Description
Type of Engagement: 12-month contract with the possibility to extend.
Work Location: Onsite in Houston, TX
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Review and approves process safety and safety engineering deliverables for large oil, gas, and petrochemical projects.
- Experienced in HAZID, Pre-Hazard Analysis (PHAs), HAZOPs, LOPAs, Building Risk Assessments, Firewater Demands, Spacing and Layout, BFDs, PI&Ds review, and process safety related modeling, flare safety and flame out scenarios.
- Assists project management with planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of safety related measures and initiatives to ensure compliance with corporate and local department EHSS requirements and expectations.
- Incumbents of this position are qualified professionals who may work independently but more typically as part of a team. Normally reports within a project.
- Provides guidance, advice, monitoring, and assistance to the organization with compliance to corporate safety requirements.
- Regular contact with department management including manager, division employees at all levels on EHSS issues. Interfaces with other staff in related organizations such as Loss Prevention and Fire Protection organizations as needed with the guidance of EHSS Manager.
- Bachelor Degree in Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Loss Prevention with 15 years of experience in projects design and operation with relevant certifications.
A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $50.00 - $80.00 per hour. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
