Our client is actively seeking a talented Project or Portfolio Analyst. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This position is a remote opportunity.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support the daily and weekly financial management/tracking for assigned projects, including supporting/coordinating estimate development, approval, changes, and progress/status reporting activities, and tracking invoices to the client.
  • Directly assist in daily and weekly project and portfolio management activities, including maintenance of latest portfolio updates in portfolio timeline.
  • Oversee multiple projects and operate as a high-level project manager by conducting weekly meetings with project managers and leads to support project initiation, track project SDLC activities, coordinating Deliverable Exception Agreement(s) and other deliverables, gather project updates for reporting to the client, and maintaining project transparency and progress in multiple sources.
  • Support ongoing tracking and forecasting of project hours for active staff in alignment with created billing categories in backend reference tables and tracker.
  • Prepare Status reporting on projects’ SDLC activities and portfolio activities for the client (external) and for the project team(s)/leadership (internal).
  • Annotate and organize project notes and updates for client meetings.
  • Prepare meeting minutes and track action items/decisions/risks and issues.
  • Work in Excel to upgrade and improve current tools to streamline and minimize manual inputs in reports and trackers.
  • Work with project managers and leads to utilize CARES tools for project management activities (e.g., SharePoint, Jira, CASA, CARES process and tools).
  • Develop process documentation on SAM and PPM processes.
  • Support developing staff training materials on SAM and PPM processes.
  • Assist as directed with process improvements/special projects related to SAM and PPM processes.
Requirements:
  • Time management and strong work prioritization skills
  • Ability to execute work under tight timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to move back and forth between tasks to address ad hoc requests during the workday
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Portfolio/Project management
  • Financial management
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as SharePoint, Jira
  • Experience with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) activities
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced or expert proficiency)
  • Data visualization
  • Strong in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Strong in Microsoft Word
Preferred qualifications:
  • Excel Macros and VBA
  • Tableau
  • SQL
  • Understanding of federal and state funding for IT

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $30.00 - $35.00 per hour.

The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
