Job Description

Job Title: SCADA Analyst
Type of Engagement: 12-month contract to hire (Not open to 3rd party C2C consultants. Visa sponsorship is not available)
Work Location: Hybrid in Denver, CO

Candidates must reside in the Denver, CO area.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study; or
    • Five (5) or more years of experience developing and maintaining SCADA and/or control systems.
    • Two (2) or more years of experience designing, developing and maintaining CygNet systems.

Big Bonus Points if you Have:
  • Experience working in an IT setting, including managing change requests and help desk tickets and implementing a secure application environment.
  • Experience working in a field setting with vendors and staff.
  • Working with SCADA databases, including database design and querying.
  • Oil and gas industry experience.  Upstream, Midstream or both.

Job Overview:

Maintain and enhance a secure, standardized, and reliable SCADA system. Serve as a subject matter expert to acquire, store, and deliver operational data to the enterprise.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain various SCADA services and devices on the CygNet platform.
  • Work with third party vendors in the design, testing, and implementation of their software.
  • Provide on-demand support to analyze, troubleshoot and repair application technical issues. 
  • Assist the infrastructure team with installation and administration of SCADA network equipment, and servers.
  • Configure, update and maintain the leak detection software linked to SCADA.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of existing SCADA infrastructure including hardware, applications, protocols, communication links, and back up strategies.
  • Evaluate and apply application software updates / patches to all SCADA servers and workstations in accordance with DCP IT standards.
  • Understand communication Infrastructure and issues associated with failures and work with Infrastructure and other groups to troubleshoot and maintain system runtime.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement of SCADA systems and the SCADA environment.
  • Assist with the integration of SCADA data to other areas of the business. Assist with creation of data projects as well as mobile solution projects that are in development.
  • Assist all business units with methods to satisfy SCADA data reporting requirements.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Help vendors and users in the development and refinement of HMI screens.
  • Mentor other staff members in SCADA and automation areas of expertise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $85.00 - $80.00 per hour. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
