Our client is actively seeking a talented Senior Bioengineer to work with a team located in Raleigh, NC This is a direct hire opportunity with our client.

Due to client requirements, US Citizenship is required.


This position is an onsite opportunity.

Job Overview:

An ideal candidate would have a strong background in toxicology and drug formulation and familiarity with mathematical models, especially of drug deposition and absorption. A successful candidate will work with a multi-institutional research team to support design and testing of novel drug-device pairings to improve treatments in a military operational environment. The ability to distil technical input from multiple, expert sources and advise on the appropriate path forward to meet contractual requirements is critical, in addition to the communication skills required to describe the science and impact to a layperson. The candidate should also have experience in budget and subcontract management.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage a multidisciplinary team of scientists, mathematicians, and programmers on a wide range of challenging technical problems.
  • Oversee the development and documentation of models and products focusing on detecting or countering the effects from injuries.
  • Attend technical project meetings and working groups with team members, partnering companies, and sponsoring agencies.
  • Contribute to the development of client- and public-facing materials such as white papers, quad charts, technical reports, presentations, and other technical material.
Requirements:
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; requirements include being a U.S. citizen.
  • Ph.D. in life sciences with 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Developed or contributed to models of injury, genetic screening, human health, medical treatment, or related areas.
  • Must demonstrate the maturity to work and communicate in a team-oriented, professional environment.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise with analytical tools/scripting languages.
Preferred Skills:
  • Ph.D. in preferable in pharmaceuticals or regulatory industries.
  • Developed or contributed to models of injury, genetic screening, human health, medical Knowledge and experience in any of the following areas are considered.
  • Physiology, epidemiology, immunology, virology, toxicology, microbiology.
  • Data analytics and visualization.
  • Project management certification (i.e. PMP).
  • Active DoD security clearance.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $151,000 - $161,000 per year.

The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
