Type: Direct hire, Permanent (W2 Only)
Work Location: Remote – must be in the US (those in the EST or CST time zones are HIGHLY PREFERRED)
This is a direct-hire position with our Atlanta-based client. We are looking for either a Lead Developer/Development Lead/Team Lead (must have experience conducting performance reviews) that's wanting to move into a manager position, or a Development Manager that has been a manager for 2-3 years. Also, the ideal person will come from a smaller company or startup.
In this role, you will manage the team and also hands on technically (40% hands on - with Python & Django). You will help design, develop, and implement new products and internal software systems. Also, engage in developing & growing the team. Will work in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum with continuous development/release management.

A reasonable estimate of the Base Salary range for this role is $140,000 to $159,000 per year. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.

What this person will be expected to do:
- Manage and lead your team in creating new innovative products and product enhancements
- Be directly involved in architecture decisions, innovation, and execution
- Balance build sprints with tasks/requests and system reliability events
- Oversee, improve and continuously deliver on Software Development Lifecycle processes and development standards
- Recruit, incentivize and grow your team. Manage internal/onshore and offshore resources’ work based on business needs and priority
- Drive cross-organization collaboration between Development, IT and Business teams
- Effectively communicate to Development and Leadership teams
- Hands-on in the development, review, support, implementation phases
What this person needs to have:
- 8-10+ years of hands-on software development experience
- 3 or more years of management of software development teams (full-time work)
- Hands-on expertise in Python, Django, Dockers/Containers
- Experience in NodeJS, Typescript, React
- Hands-on in Relational and NoSQL databases (MS SQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Google)
- Experience working with AWS and AWS services
- Experience in CI/CD plans, Jira (or like)
- Experience in developing secure applications within regulated industries: PCI, PII, GDPR, CCPA
- Experience in developing applications that are resilient and highly scalable
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Team player mindset and willingness to collaborate
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field is highly preferred
Bonus points for having:
- Experience working with blockchain and cryptocurrencies is a big plus
- Experience developing mobile applications on Android and iOS using React-Native is a plus
