Work Location: Hybrid role in Colorado, CO
Candidates must reside in Colorado, CO area.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years’ experience in stormwater management and design
- Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and detention design
- Experience in working with municipalities and other jurisdictions along the Front Range of Colorado, including Mile High Flood District and private developers
- Experience with Land Development, Stormwater Management Plan and Report (or SWPPP) preparation, grading and drainage design, and Civil 3D
- Proficient in hydrologic and hydraulic software:Â HY-8, FlowMaster, StormCAD/SewerGems, XPStorm
- Experience with HEC-RAS or GeoHECRAS
- Experience in advanced dynamic H&H modeling, such as CUHP/SWMM, unsteady flow and/or 2D HEC-RAS modeling
- Technical report writing
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Bachelor of Science, Environmental Science or Engineering or related field – Master’s Degree a Plus
- Licensed Professional Engineer
Big Bonus Points if you Have:
- Experience with ArcGIS
- Experience in FEMA Letters of Map Change and Floodplain Fill Mitigation Plans
- Certified Floodplain Manager, Certified Stormwater Management, or Certified Environmental Storm Water Compliance

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of stormwater professionals to produce analytical reports and/or designs, specifications, and estimates for stormwater elements of land development projects.
- Manage direct reports including recruiting, hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
- Use standard and advanced hydrologic and hydraulic modeling techniques, theory, and practices for stormwater basin routing, open channel capacity calculations, storm sewer system design, and detention pond design
- Exercises judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
- Reviewing project drainage design requirements to meet the jurisdictional criteria
- Determine additional information that is needed from internal clients and coordinates them directly.
- Make basic decisions regarding alternative procedures when information is not given
- Facilitate open communication with all internal personnel involved with the project
- Quality assurance for group deliverables
- Create, maintain and improve processes within the stormwater group
- Participate in appropriate stormwater organizations to increase company exposure

A reasonable estimate of the Base Salary for this role is $130,000 - $165,000 per year. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
