Our client is actively seeking a talented Survey Coordinator in Englewood, CO, Fort Worth, TX or Austin, Texas. This is a fulltime permanent opportunity with our client.

This position is hybrid and requires 1-2 days in office per week.

Job Overview:
Survey Field Coordinator

Summary:   The Survey Coordinator is an internal logistics role for Ascent Geomatics.  This coordinator will be responsible for managing Survey Field Personnel, Survey Equipment, Survey Trucks, and active participation in the Company Safety Program.  Coordinating fieldwork schedules for complex, multi-faceted projects will be a daily task due to constantly changing client needs.  This position will also be required to complete survey field work when necessary. 
Expected results in the role: 
  • Projects are staffed, fieldwork is completed accurately, and deadlines are met. 
  • Field Crews are prepared, supported, and stay on task in a changing environment. 
  • Complete field work as necessary and requested by PM’s & PLS’s. 
  • Survey Field Crew time entries are accurate, complete, and correct. 
  • Survey Equipment, Trucks, Trailers, and UTVs are maintained and in good operating condition. 
  • A strong culture of safety is evident through trained and engaged field crews, compliance with client safety requirements, well-maintained equipment, and safe field execution. 
 
Essential Duties:  
Field Coordination: 
  • Logistically balancing available resources to meet priorities and deadlines. 
  • Maintain Survey Equipment, Trucks, Trailers, and UTVs. 
  • Communicating with department managers and project managers to understand the changes to projects and schedules, as well as how those changes impact everyone else. 
  • Assist Survey Field Crews with troubleshooting and correcting minor equipment malfunctions. 
  • When necessary, support and perform field activities. 
  • Ensure field personnel time entries are correct and accurate. 
  • Complete performance management processes with assigned personnel. 
Safety: 
  • Ensure any personnel going into the field have the required PPE and required Safety Training. 
  • Ensure field personnel are following client-specific/site-specific safety requirements. 
  • Guide incident report completion, review, and resolution. 
  • Host bi-weekly safety meetings with field personnel. 
  • Perform random field safety checks in CO, TX, and NM. 
  • Participate in Ascent Safety Committee meetings. 
  • Lead the Safety Culture of field crews & demonstrate a safety-first attitude. 
  
Supervisory: 
  • Reviewing resumes and interviewing potential staff. 
  • Training of new hires. 
  • Creating and managing team schedules. 
  • Identifying and Applying career advancement opportunities. 
  • Helping to resolve employee issues and disputes. 
  • Reporting to HR and senior management. 
  • Will conduct field safety checks in CO, NM, and TX. 
  • Will participate in 1:1 sessions and performance reviews with direct reports. 
  • Will review timesheets weekly for all field employees. 
  • Will manage Ascent’s Field Training, Safety, and equipment. 
  • Will attend internal meetings with Project Teams, Project Managers, and Department Managers. 
Competencies: 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • In-depth knowledge of Trimble Survey Equipment. 
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills. 
  • Firm understanding of various Field Survey Workflows and an ability to estimate hours to complete jobs. 
  • A strong Safety-First approach to doing business. 
  • Strong leadership skills. 
 
Required Education and Experience:  
  • High School Diploma, or its equivalent. 
  • 7+ years of progressive surveying field experience. 
  • Equivalent to an associate degree in Surveying or related completed degree beyond an associate degree may be considered in meeting up to one (1) of the required work experience years. 
  • 2+ years of progressive office experience is preferred. 
  • Valid Driver's license

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000 per year - Flexible DOE (depending on experience)

The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
