Our client is actively seeking a talented Survey Crew Chief located in Lisle, IL. This is a fulltime permanent opportunity with our client.

Job Overview:

The crew chief will lead and manage the field activities, crew and data collection related to project development for site design and construction.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform field data collection for topographic and boundary surveys, Alta land title surveys, construction layout, as-builts/record drawings, setting lot & section corners, volumetric surveys, route surveys, control networks and level loops.
Maintaining accurate and complete field notes and sketches
Perform job training for field staff
Ability to problem solve in the field and think outside the box to resolve obstacles
Clean and maintain field equipment and supplies
Maintain a clean vehicle and routine maintenance

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED required
5 years of survey experience as a crew chief
Certified Survey Technician or other certification are desired
Ability work in the field under variable weather conditions and terrain
Experience with Trimble total stations, gps units, data collectors and Trimble Business Center
Ability to work independently or as part of a crew and a strong communicator
Reliable and Dependable
Ability to read and interpret construction plans
Safe working habits, clean driving record and valid driver's license
Ability to lift and carry 40+ lbs. over uneven terrain
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time and sit, stand, kneel and squat on a daily basis
A team player who is driven and motivated by a strong work ethic, looking to grow
Open to occasional travel out of town

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $72,000 - $82,000 per year.

The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
