Job Overview:

Seeking an in-office Survey Technician to support our drafting and survey deliverables. We have a strong backlog and a steady flow of work across high-end residential, commercial, and large projects in the Philadelphia area.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being a precise, independent drafter who can work efficiently inside established company standards and templates. If you’re detail-oriented, dependable, and want long-term stability with room to grow, this is a great opportunity.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

This position is primarily focused on survey drafting production. You’ll be provided the boundary/linework and will be responsible for preparing deliverables to company standards.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Draft survey deliverables in AutoCAD Civil 3D (Carlson experience is a plus)
  • Produce clean, consistent drawings using company templates (notes and standards are built in)
  • Prepare survey deliverables including topographic and boundary drawings
  • Ensure elevations and labeling are accurate and match survey data
  • Maintain drawing consistency, formatting, and completeness for final review
  • Communicate with the PM/PLS team as needed for clarification and status updates
QA/QC: Final QA/QC is completed by the Survey Director/PLS, but accuracy and attention to detail are critical in your drafting work.

Required Skills & Experience:
 
  • Experience drafting topographic and/or boundary survey drawings
  • Ability to work in-office every day in Berwyn, PA
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in accurate work
  • Ability to work independently without constant direction
  • Clear communication and a positive, team-first attitude

Big Bonus Points if you Have:
 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Carlson experience
  • Experience supporting high-volume drafting environments
  • Familiarity working with survey templates and municipal standards

A reasonable estimate of the Base Salary for this role is $62,400 - $78,200 per year. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
