Our client is seeking a  Data Systems  Engineer to work with a team located in Springfield, VA. The position is on-site with some limited remote work.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with our client.
Salary Range: $140K - $150K + Full Benefit Package
Experience Required: BS Degree in Information Technology with 7-9 years of experience Â
Certifications & Clearances: Â Security + Cert (CompTIA) and Active Top Secret/SCI
As a Automation Software  Engineer,  focused on supporting mission operations tradecraft, you will be developing, testing, and rapidly deploying cloud-based solutions to help answer key intelligence questions around asset tasking and content collection.
For this work, you must have a strong passion for engineering, cloud-based solution development and testing, and solution stewardship. As a valued contributor to our team, your responsibilities will include (1) identifying and integrating available solutions into existing technical architectures (2) defining and documenting requirements for new solutions (3) testing and evaluating solution readiness to ensure results align with mission objectives, (4) guiding modeling, automation, and development projects leveraging enterprise software.
This work will require hands-on, collaborative brainstorming, and problem-solving from the user's perspective guided by direct partnerships with mission operators.

- Demonstrated knowledge in automation and workflow development
- Implementation of security architecture based on Enterprise mandated security services
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience in Python development and GUI data modeling solutions
- Experience in data pre-processing methodologies, pattern development
- Experience in model development using first order logic
- Experience in Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana
- Familiarity with REST API usage and development
- Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Working knowledge of the OSI model and understanding of the interactions and dependencies of different layers
