Job Description
Type of Engagement: 12-month contract (Not open to 3rd party C2C consultants. Visa sponsorship is not available)
Work Location: Onsite position located in Houston, TX.
Candidates must reside in the Greater Houston, TX area.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Math/Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Financial Management or closely related specialty and preferred one (1) year diversified accounting experience. May consider candidate with high school diploma who demonstrates the ability to perform the assigned tasks which typically is gained from ten (10) years of diversified business administration experience relative to the specific area of assignment. Work experience should reflect progressively greater responsibilities.
- Must be able to communicate and comprehend accurately, clearly and concisely in English at a level required to perform the job as outlined.
- Must know how and when to use a wide variety of statistical and financial analytical tools and have a working knowledge of economics, technology and accounting.
- Must possess good work habits, a strong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours, policies, and standard business etiquette.
Job Overview:
This position provides professional services in a staff capacity in the development of the assigned Department/Division short/long-term business objectives. This position is responsible for providing administrative and technical services support at an advanced level in the assigned organization.
Responsible, under the general direction of Department, Division or Unit Head, for providing support to operations or services departments; prepares technical reports, reviews service entry sheets, performs special technical and financial studies as required; serves as department's liaison to operation/support services organizations; develops and manages databases. The incumbent receives work assignments and is expected to complete routine tasks, independently within established guidelines.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Provides advanced administrative and technical services support in the Inspection Unit.
- Performs computer functions such as preparing and reviewing reports, developing presentations, and generally arranging data in electronic formats using databases, spreadsheets, word processors, etc. (such as in MS Office) at an advanced skill level.
- Must be able to utilize and execute SAP transactions to support the Unit.
- Uses various Company systems within the assigned organization to enter and retrieve information.
- Operates general hardware/software tools used to communicate, store and transfer data.
- Coordinates the preparation of routine or special reports for review and approval.
- Conducts special studies as assigned.
- Provides for the development and maintenance of statistical reports, visual presentations and others for management purposes.
- Handles work such as reviewing service entry sheets and auditing invoices from contractors, interpreting contract provisions, checking correctness or arranging for corrections; monitors contractor performance; monitors contract performance for compliance.
- Management of external vendor documentation requests
- Assist the Unit by sending manufacturers inspection requirement and release letters, generating work orders for agencies across multiple systems or portals, creating inspection job files, emailing job files to the agencies, as well as ensuring the upkeep of
- these technical folders through the uploading of inspection documentation and reports.
- Work in close collaboration with the Business Systems Analysts to offer technical support as needed and to manage the agency Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Performs all other special complex or confidential projects as assigned.
