Our client is actively seeking a talented Technical Writer IV. This is a 3-month contract opportunity with the possibility to extend with our client.
This position is a remote opportunity preferably Pacific Time Zone working hours.
Overview:
The main function of a Technical Writer is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $52.55 - $57.55 per hour.
The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.

Job Responsibilities:
- Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
- Maintain records and files of work and revisions
- Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or english, journalism, communications.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- 7+ years of strong Linux experience
- 3+ years of Python experience
- 7+ Years of Experience. Proficient in M365 Platforms (Words, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Generalist understanding of large language models and experience using ChatGPT
- Experience using Jupyter Notebook as documentation
- Experience with open source development: GitHub (Merge, Issues, PRs), Python, Markdown-based formatting, taking feedbacks from the community
- Experience developing tutorials for novice users step-by-step learning how to use a code library with executable sample code
- Experience in creating documentation for a technical audience.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to read some programming code.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
