Our client is actively seeking a talented Training Specialist II located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.
 
This is a hybrid opportunity for 2-3 days in the office.



Job Overview:

This position is responsible for the development of training materials and training programs throughout the Transmission organization. Training topics may span all functional groups including Construction & Maintenance, Engineering, System Operations, and Resource and Project Management. This will also include any training for systems and process-centric topics as well as any enterprise training needed in the organization (e.g., compliance, safety related, new projects, storm support, etc.).

The position will require strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interpret the needs of the business and translate it into well-documented training material.



Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Develop training material using ADDIE and/or SAM methodology and ensure proper revisions, updates, and consistent storage of material
  • Collaborate with multiple team members to ensure alignment and consistent methodologies for training development
  • Collaborate with SMEs to understand process, identify skill set gaps, and work with them on ideas for mitigation plans
  • Project Management responsibilities related to meeting with internal clients, managing and tracking ADDIE process, deployment plans, and overall training requirements for a project


Requirements:
 
  • 5+ years of experience with advanced skills in eLearning design and development
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present creative solutions and understand how to orient tasks to create efficient work flow within the parameters established by the Learning Development designs/templates.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills developing and editing video using company provided software and equipment
  • Experience with technical training development (specifically electrical utility equipment and engineering)
  • Experience with electric utility industry is preferred
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and individually on projects

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $38.80 - $43.80 per hour.

The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
