Required Skills & Experience:
 
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business or IT or 15+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • 10+ years of professional experience with Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse implementations and enterprise data management
  • 8+ years of experience working with Healthcare and Life Science organizations in either a consulting services environment or directly
  • 3+ years of experience in technical architecture or project management
  • Led project and development teams in implementation of complex systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell services across data management and analytics
  • Highly competent with MS Project and standard desktop MS Office applications.
  • Experience with sales and/or pre-sales processes in a consulting services organization
  • A deep level of experience creating and managing project plans, including estimation, task identification, resource planning, resource balancing loading, and risk mitigation
  • Proven knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles and Methodologies (i.e. Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Ability to lead team members, directly or indirectly, in completing high-quality major deliverables and produces results.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage complex project dependencies
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted advisor that builds influence with client management beyond simply EDM.
  • Ability to conduct presentations to senior managers and large groups (25+) with calmness and ease.
  • Demonstrates ability to create new and innovative solutions to problems that have previously not been encountered.
  • Excels in a fast paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem solving skills are required for success
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpolate from abstract material
  • Ability to partner across the organization to coordinate resources and solve issues
  • Understanding of, and ability to, apply Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering to projects

  • Clear written and spoken communication
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of the types of technology/tools available and how these are used in EDM solutions. This includes an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of leading technologies/ tools such that they can have a meaningful discussion of such with clients and team members.
  • Modifies the methodology to fit the needs of the client, enhance value to the client, and maintain/enhance profitability of the engagement.
  • Is effective in a variety of formal project and external presentation/meeting settings: one-on-ones, small and large groups, with peers, direct reports, and superiors.
  • Conducts internal training courses and can effectively adapt to the level of the course attendees.
  • Is willing and capable of taking on conflict resolution within an account with internal and/or external resources.

Big Bonus Points if you Have:
 
  • Experience with master data management, data governance
  • Knowledge of project management discipline and methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, RUP, Scrum, Kanban
  • Experiencing overseeing project teams of 5-20 people

Job Overview:

The VP Data Management – Healthcare & Life Sciences is responsible for managing and nurturing client relationships, overseeing comprehensive account strategies, ensuring client satisfaction and takes charge of monitoring and optimizing the account’s financial performance, including managing the P&L to ensure profitability and growth for their vertical in the Data Management business unit.  This position works with Sales, Engagement Managers, and Capability Director’s to develop proposals and statements of work for new business, collaborating with delivery enablement and resource management to staff engagements. They’re also responsible for enabling communication between clients, other business units, internal support staff, as well as multi-functional and multi-shore project teams. This position may require frequent travel to client sites in the U.S.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

40% Vertical Growth
  • Oversee and expand a portfolio of Data Management clients within the Healthcare and Life Sciences vertical, generating $10 million+ in annual revenue.
  • Monitor financial performance within the vertical, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for account expansion within the vertical, collaborating with clients to develop solutions that drive mutual growth.
  • Manage and drive account strategy for each client within the portfolio.
  • Build primary, trusted advisor relationships with clients to engage and strategize with senior level executives to identify additional areas of opportunity within data management, analytics, digital, etc.
  • Conduct periodic business review(s) within assigned accounts with clear articulation and measurement of business value brought through our engagements.
30% Relationship Management
  • Become a trusted advisor to senior level executives at Healthcare and Life Sciences customers to demonstrate data management capabilities.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and challenges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and effective communication between all stakeholders.
  • Monitor client satisfaction levels, proactively addressing any issues or concerns to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell or upsell additional services to existing clients within the vertical, including other business units aligned with your vertical who may have a need for data management services.
  • Develop strategies to enhance client retention within the vertical, ensuring long-term partnerships and recurring revenue streams.
  • Gather feedback from clients within the vertical to continuously improve products, services, and overall customer experience.
15% Engagement Administration
  • Identify and produce engagement metrics to be used in tracking engagement success
  • Identify, onboard, assemble, and manage resources required to fulfil planned delivery to customer expectations
  • Manage project change requests, change orders, and corrective actions to ensure project success
  • Work with the Finance team to manage invoices, provisions, forecasts on a monthly basis
 10% Management and Leadership
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and support to project resources, including solution architect and project manager activities as needed
  • Facilitate consistent communication to stakeholders outlining status, risks, issues, and action plans, including accurate and timely updates to project sponsors
  • Assist with the recruiting of new consulting employees and contract resources by performing technical and non-technical interviews and providing feedback to hiring manager and recruiting

A reasonable estimate of the Base Salary for this role is $200,000 - $220,000 per year. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
