Our client is actively seeking a talented Wastewater Engineering PM to work with a team located in Houston, TX. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with our client.

Job Overview:

As a Wastewater Engineering Project Manager, you'll help with expanding the water/wastewater services practice serving clients in the public & private sector markets. This position will manage projects involving water and wastewater systems improvements and new water / wastewater infrastructure.  You will oversee the development of plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis, and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with the owner.   You’ll be responsible for managing and directing active projects with current clients, directing and mentoring junior staff to educate them on design parameters, plant layout, project integration and regulatory criteria, and perform project pursuit for new opportunities. You will also have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and participate at networking and client development.

Job Responsibilities:
 
  • Manage and execute work on water and wastewater, water utilities planning and stormwater projects;
  • Lead project teams on developing bid ready plans and specifications;
  • Strong understanding of required permitting in Texas;
  • Knowledge of how to execute design tasks on complex water/wastewater projects;
  • Authoring Engineering Design Reports and Permit Applications;
  • Experience with Construction/Commissioning phase services and routine facility operations;
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews on projects;
  • Pursue client management and business development opportunities

Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering;
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in Texas;
  • 8+ years of water resources engineering experience;
  • Experience with working with public sector clients and with engineering firm, water/wastewater treatment equipment, experience with:
    • Wastewater treatment plants
    • Wastewater collection system
    • Wastewater lift stations
    • Wastewater conveyance systems
    • Water Treatment plants
    • Water distribution systems
    • Elevated storage tanks
    • Ground storage tanks
    • Ground water wells

Preferred Skills:
 
  • Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills with a thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting and efficient use of time and resources;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate via phone, email, technical writing, and in-person;
  • Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000 per year.

The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
