Our client is actively seeking a talented z/OS Developer. The position is 100% REMOTE. This is a 6-month contract opportunity.
Company Overview: Our client is a Fortune 100 company that provides a variety of services to its customers. They are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced IBM z/OS Developer to work on their mainframe applications. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in PL1, MQ, DB2, IMS, SCLM, and GitHub.
Job Description: As an IBM z/OS Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company's mainframe applications. You will work closely with other developers, system analysts, and project managers to understand business requirements and create solutions that meet those needs. Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining mainframe applications using PL1, MQ, DB2, IMS, SCLM, and GitHub.
- Designing and developing software components and modules that meet business requirements.
- Collaborating with system analysts to identify requirements and develop technical solutions.
- Troubleshooting and debugging code as necessary.
- Build security scans of system configurations.
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience in IBM z/OS development
- Strong proficiency in PL1, MQ, DB2, IMS, SCLM, and GitHub.
- Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a remote team.
- Familiarity with other mainframe technologies such as COBOL and JCL is a plus.
- Experience with modernizing mainframe applications is a plus.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $ 57.85 - $60.85 hour.
The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
